Brother Anthony’s love for music and Jesus has driven his life for many years. After surrendering to God’s call to Salvation in February of 1989, God began working in his life leading him to where he is today. In November 1994, Brother Anthony surrendered to the ministry and 3 months later his was traveling with the award-winning Southern Gospel Quartet Perfect Heart and playing bass guitar. It was during his time on the road he met his wonderful wife, Marcia and they were married on December 14, 1996. In 1997, Brother Anthony begin to feel God leading him to leave Perfect Heart and begin serving in the local church and since that day, he has faithfully served in just about every position the church has to offer. He has been Associate Pastor, Worship Pastor, Youth Pastor, Education Minister, and even a Children’s Minister. In 2012, Brother Anthony felt the call to the Senior Pastor position at Calvary Baptist Church in Wetumpka, Alabama. A ministry he held until God led him to Lexington, Tennessee to serve as our Senior Pastor. Prior to his time in Wetumpka, Brother Anthony had served churches in Mississippi, Arkansas, and other churches in Alabama.
Brother Anthony and his wonderful wife of over 24 years have two sons. Dawson (22) is a Senior Worship Leadership Major at The University of Mobile, Mobile Alabama and serves as staff intern for the Worship Team at Mars Hill Church in Mobile. Dawson has surrendered his life to Vocational Ministry and was Licensed into the Ministry in August of 2020. Jarrett (17) is a Senior at Wetumpka High School and will be attending college to pursue a career in either Athletic Coaching or Athletic Training. While music is important part of Dawson’s life, athletics is important to Jarrett’s life. Jarrett was a member of the Wetumpka Varsity Football program and in 2018, they made it to the Semi-Finals of the AHSAA State Playoffs. While music and sports are important to them, the most important aspect of their lives is their relationship with Jesus Christ.
